SONESTA ESSENTIAL ATLANTIC CITY WEST, Egg Harbor Township – A Smart Stay in the City

The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and close to attractions like Ocean City and Atlantic City. While the rooms were clean, they needed updating, and the breakfast was disappointing with mostly carb options and unappetizing sausage. The service was lacking professionalism and had issues with availability. Despite some drawbacks, the location is advantageous for travelers visiting the nearby cities.

My stay at the hotel was quite disappointing overall. The room I was given had the door propped open with a towel, the lights on, and a fan running, which was not a pleasant sight. Not only that, there was a dirty towel stuck on the door, blocking the window, making the room feel even less appealing. To make matters worse, I had to wait until midnight in the lobby for a room, only to find out it smelled like cigarettes and the AC didn't work, leaving me uncomfortable throughout the night. The fact that it was a smoking room despite my initial request for a non-smoking one added to my frustration. It was definitely not a good experience and I believe some form of compensation should have been offered.

The hotel offers comfortable rooms with good furniture, but the heating system needs improvement. The service was a mix of exceptional and slightly unprofessional, with quick room changes when needed. The location is convenient, near everything, but dining options were below expectations. Overall, a decent stay with some room for enhancement.
